See, he's open to talking to anybody, and frankly it's pretty damn close to a friendship as you could probably get. But if it came down to it, and for some reason or another he had to do it, he'd back-stab you within a second with a chimed "I'm only doing my job~" So it's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to his company. Sometimes he likes to keep his targets/enemies close. And you'd probably never know before it was too late. That's not to say a legitimate friendship can't happen. It's just much more rare than the former option. See, he'll only let people he absolutely trusts that close and in his little safe group. No matter what, he wont harm his real friends and will keep them protected even if he has to go through hell to do so. But even if he weren't a bit of a loner and kept his distance, true friends are pretty difficult to come by. Not everyone can tolerate his attitude and he's not one to sugarcoat things just to make friends. So the person with the right patience might be lucky. As far as example plots for this, I'd say a partner-in-crime would be pretty neat as well as a friend who desperately tries to keep him out of trouble and make sure he doesn't kill himself by being so reckless. An apprentice sort of relationship would be pretty cool too, whether it's an actual apprenticeship or not. Just a kid he has to babysit but eventually get close to and teach them how to be badass.

[atrb=style, width: 300px; padding: 5px; background: #E6E6FA;] As easy as it is to make friends, it's just as easy (if not even more) to make enemies. It doesn't help that he can be quite the instigator, finding the art of pissing off others quite enjoyable. His attitude is pretty difficult to handle and since he's so arrogant and sarcastic, it's not unusual; for him to gather some bad company. Especially if he happens to sleep with their women. Which is quite often. So sue him. His line of work doesn't make it much easier as he's often hired to fight/capture/or even kill people just for the sake of earning some gold. Most of the time it is from noble blood feuding with some other family that they'd quietly like to silence which in turn, just makes him untrustworthy and if people happen to recognize him, no doubt will they try to stop him right away out of fear that they'll be his next target. I think a rival could be interesting, someone just as talented as himself and capable of meeting him in both a battle of strength and wits. And maybe even someone intent on capturing him for all the unlawful murdering he has done. His being a mercenary is a bit unorthodox and he's bound to annoy authorities with his constant presence. Time to weed out the pestering wolf!

Taverns are his ideal place if not for his drink, perhaps the fine ladies he can woo for a fun filled night, whether they are single or not doesn't really concern him. There have been plenty of flings, flirts, and affairs here and there, all out of fun and living life. There have also been plenty of broken hearts and desperate women left in his wake but him being - well - him, he's not the type of guy looking for commitment. He doesn't see the perk of it though that doesn't mean that mindset of his can't change in the future. Just don't bet on it or anything, it'll be a gradual process for sure. He doesn't want to give up on his freedom anytime soon. He's a big flirt and a tease and though he doesn't seem like the type to be committed, if he were to find that special someone, no doubt will he be incredibly loyal, no matter how bad old habits die. It'll be a lot of work, no doubt about it, but he could make for a very loving partner. He can be a bit possessive though as well as jealous though luckily hasn't had much experience with it. But if he did get into an actual relationship, you can be certain he'll be holding onto her and never letting another guy get close. So hopefully they are prepared for that! I think the ideal relationship would be a challenging one. A girl who is by no means easy and makes him work for her attention. It would be a slap to the face having his charm put down so easily but it could be fun to see how he'd respond. And being as stubbornly determined as he is, he'll pursue her until he wins her heart. She'd have him on a leash in no time, really and I'm sure it'd be an interesting plot to play through. But really, I'm open for anything in this department. Just know it will be a gradual process. Because he enjoys being a man-whore far too much to stop anytime soon.

welp, i can't really think of anything for my other character, dai - but if you can feel free to throw something out! as for rhian here, i can def think of some plot stuff.

they're actually somewhat similar in personality, for one thing. they also both work as sellswords (although she does it more as an occasional side thing since she's usually, y'know, too busy leading a resistance to be doin' that all the time lmao). it's possible that they've bumped into each other before or may do so in the future.

any encounters they have would probably be brief, since they're both busy people and rhian doesn't like to stay in one place for more than a day or two in the off chance that somebody will realize who she is. however, she enjoys going out and interacting with people when she can. usually she's out looking for people to join the rebel uprising but sometimes she just wants to relax and be normal and have fun, so i would love to see these two socialize when she's in one of those moods.

really this could go down any route 'cause one of them might get contracted to go after the other ohh hmm yes. or they could become kinda friends or s/t? or a combination of the two or ugh just anything really. i just have this feeling like "man i really need to plot with you" lol. soyeah, whatever input you have would be greatly valued! i'm kind of out of it tbh so this might not be completely coherent sorry orz.

[atrb=style, width: 300px; padding: 5px; background: #E6E6FA;] the only thing i can come up with for dai would simply consist of potentially requiring his healing services. because he's pretty damn reckless and has a tendency to get hurt more than he realizes in a fight. so if he happens to be in noorden and gets a nasty wound, he may seek his services. but aside from that, i can't really think of much. as for rhian, i could see them having the potential of being friends. though i could also see allard thinking of her as competition as far as stealing potential customers from him. but not enough to strive some sort of hate but more or less rivalry. all in good fun, really. he'd just gloat about his jobs and maybe act like his arrogant self and offer some tips. but all in all, i can see them being pretty nice towards each other. and allard might try to flirt with her but that's just a given. no doubt if he'd seen her enough to get to know her he'd try and help out with those chances to relax and act normal by offering to take her out for a drink or something. cause that's just not right for a lovely lady to be stressed out with work and not have fun for a little while. and him being him, he wont take no for an answer, even if he has to drag her to the nearest tavern. i also really like the idea of one of them having a contract against the other. it would really make for an interesting thread. allard would probably play around with the situation though, regardless if he were the hunter or the prey. have the chance to spar with her. but i'm really not sure how it would play out. could be pretty interesting~ but yeah - friends seems like a good idea. and you are right, chances are they might have bumped into each other. or we can of course rp them meeting. either way is fine with me. we'll have to thread these two sometime, though. that's for sure! \o/

yeah, dai's pretty much a usual lump as far as plotting goes atm. i've got some stuff in mind to get him ~involved~ in more things that may lead to more plottage with people, but for now he'll just sit and bother his brother indy you better prepare yourself for that lmao.

yeah, rhian wouldn't take enough jobs to be much of a problem hopefully. if he gloats she'll just roll her eyes and be like "yeah, okay kid". 'cause umm i can totally see her calling him kid even though he's only two years younger than her, 'cause she'd kinda be like "wow this guy acts like a twelve year old sometimes" ffftt.

she'll probably find his flirting extremely amusing and would either just scoff and ignore him or flirt back in a mocking way. and 'cause of that she'd be like "nah i'm okay i don't need to chill" but eventually she'd come around and be like "sure let's hang out and get a drink or s/t" and would probably enjoy herself since she doesn't do it much.

it's more likely that he'd get a contract to kill her since he works in the field more. it'd be really interesting if they were somewhat friendly at that point and then it's like "welp i'm s'posed to kill you sorry" and see where it goes from there 'cause i really do think that's an entertaining idea~

i actually think i'd like to see them meet 'cause that would be fun as well. although maybe they could be like "i feel like i recognize you from somewhere" like wanted posters lolol but yes, we totally need to thread soon! if nobody takes your open one soon i might snag it tbh.

[atrb=style, width: 300px; padding: 5px; background: #E6E6FA;] pffft- allard would just pout and whine about how he's not a kid. even though he really is just a big 12 year old. he's not one to act his age (frankly he hardly ever keeps track of it) and that probably wont change anytime soon. so she can have fun teasing him by calling him a kid. which in turn will cause him to find some sort of means to do the same but it would all be in good fun lol flirt with him and you'll be his best friend. it's not often he finds someone who isn't at least slightly interested, let alone someone who can actually shoot back at him. he'd find it really fun though and take every chance he can to do so. and then pout when it boils down to the fact she's only playing along. but hey! can't win them all. even if he's usually too stubborn to accept that fact. and we'll definitely have to thread that sort of scenario sometime. once their relationship get's established of course. 'cause otherwise, he wouldn't really hold back as far as trying to kill her. but if they were somewhat friends, he'd be more likely to drag it out for as long as he could before the time came when he had to make the choice to spare her or take care of the job. it's going to be difficult on him cause he's not overly fond of ruining his rep for being one of the best mercenaries around. which might all be self-titled but still! xD let's have them meet then! and you are free to steal that thread if you like. i'm sure it would be a nice opportunity for the two to get to know each other. and if it happens to be stolen before you get the chance, i can always just start up another one specifically for the two. so no stress there. can't wait to get started with these two .w.
