Fear. Jealousy. Hatred.
Once a peaceful Kingdom, Luniere became violent and destructive when the humans who ruled it grew to despise those who were gifted, the mages.
War erupted between the humans, each desperate to the control the mages and their magic. Many slipped away during this chaos, coming to hide in the underground ruins of Ashwood City, where they were forced to live in destitute.
Here animalistic mages, the Rurzan, developed. Stronger and more powerful, even the mages feared them, and they sent them to the surface in hopes that they would seek revenge on the humans. But they were ill suited for the outside world, and like the mages before them, they were killed.
Civil war still rages. Many mages remain in hiding, fearful of both their magical counterparts, the Rurzan, and the humans who have killed so many of their kind.
Will the apathetic and sadistic King and Queen be overthrown? Will it be their own people who take control, or will the mages rise up? Whose side are the Rurzan on?
